Gullu, broad-shouldered and grinning, towers beside his best friend, Tinu, who is so slender he almost disappears in the crowd. Together, they scan the lively scene, plotting their adventure to the local fair.
"Gullu, with your size we could charge admission just to see us ride a bicycle!"
"Don’t worry, Tinu. Today, we’ll show them what real entertainment looks like."
Tinu[/@ch_2] mounts the seat, determined. Gullu gingerly climbs onto the rear carrier, causing the bicycle to groan.]
As soon as Gullu settles in, the front wheel lifts comically off the ground, tilting like a plane ready for takeoff. Tinu finds himself dangling in mid-air, legs pedaling furiously but nowhere near the earth. The villagers gather, laughter echoing down the lane.
"Gullu! Lean forward! I’m flying without a license!"
"At this rate, we’ll reach the fair by air. Pass me a samosa, Tinu!"
Tinu darts ahead, slipping through with ease, his thin frame barely brushing the bricks. But as Gullu enters, a thunderous "THUD" reverberates. He’s wedged, stuck between the walls, unable to move forward or back. Passersby pause, curious about the commotion.
"Breathe in, Gullu! Think thin thoughts!"
"If I think any thinner, I’ll disappear. Try pulling, Tinu!"
With a mighty tug, Tinu slips, flying backward straight into a basket of ripe tomatoes. He emerges, red-stained and dripping juice, to peals of laughter. Gullu, still wedged, points and grins.
"Oh look! Tinu has turned into a ketchup packet!"
After slipping, sliding, and plenty of encouragement, Gullu finally pops free, landing in a heap beside Tinu. Both are covered in oil and tomato juice, their clothes sticking to them in wild patterns. The crowd cheers, clapping and offering snacks.
"Next time, let’s take the main road, Gullu."
"With you pulling, I could’ve ended up in the sweet shop instead!"
He chuckles, sipping tea as he watches the duo recover from their adventure.
Village Headman"You two are like a jalebi and its stick—one is sweet and round, the other holds everything together, and both make us smile. Dosti gehri honi chahiye, chahe pet bahar ho ya pasli andar!"
Tinu and Gullu exchange grins, knowing that their friendship is as legendary as their antics.
