Greg stepped onto the bus, his white tank top clinging to his frame. He scanned for an empty seat but found none, resigning himself to stand near the door.
Greg grabbed the overhead bar instinctively, his hesitation momentarily forgotten. A young man with headphones sat close by, oblivious to the unfolding drama.
Greg's arm swung forward, his densely hairy armpit brushing against the young man's shoulder.
"Whoa, that's... something," he chuckled, pulling out one earbud.
"Sorry about that," Greg mumbled, his face flushed with embarrassment.
"No worries, man. You must have some stories about those," the young man replied, nodding towards the armpit.
"You could say that. It's not every day you meet someone with a rainforest under their arms," Greg joked, his tension easing as they both laughed.
"Take care, man. And embrace the wild side," the young man said as he stood to leave.
Greg waved, feeling a little lighter as the bus continued on its route, his secret shared and his spirit a bit more lifted.
