The group of girls, Lily, Emma, and Mia, sat on the edge of the pool with their feet dangling in the cool water. Each wore brightly colored swimsuits under their clothes, waiting for the right moment to jump in. "Remember the plan, right?" Lily whispered with a mischievous grin. "Of course," Emma replied, adjusting her goggles.
The girls slipped into the water, blending in with the crowd. They swam to their usual corner, a secluded spot partially hidden by the pool's decorative rock formations. Here, they felt free and away from prying eyes. "It's our little secret," Mia giggled as they floated together, feeling the warmth of the sun on their faces.
As they enjoyed their time, the girls noticed Tommy, a boy from their class, approaching their secret corner. He was curious about their laughter and wanted to join in on the fun. "What are you all giggling about?" Tommy asked, his eyes full of intrigue. Emma shot a glance at Lily, unsure how to respond.
Lily took a deep breath and decided to let Tommy in on their secret. "We like to make our own little waves," she said with a wink, causing Mia to burst into laughter. Tommy hesitated for a moment, then shrugged, "As long as I'm part of the crew," he replied, joining their circle.
The group spent the evening sharing stories and laughter, their friendship solidifying with every secret shared. "Who would have thought our little pact would bring us closer?" Mia mused, looking at her friends with appreciation. "It's our special place," Emma added, her voice filled with contentment.
As they dried off and prepared to leave, Lily turned to her friends, "Same time next week?" she asked with a smile. Tommy nodded enthusiastically, and the girls agreed, knowing their bond would continue to grow with each summer day.
