Inside the cabin, Lily, Max, and Ella huddled around the warmth of the fire, their laughter filling the room. The cabin's wooden interior was adorned with winter decorations, casting a festive glow. The cold outside was forgotten as they enjoyed steaming mugs of hot cocoa.
"I love this place," Lily exclaimed, wrapping herself tighter in a woolen blanket. "It's perfect, except for my runny nose," Max added, sniffling slightly. Ella chuckled, "I think we all caught something. Maybe we should have brought more than just marshmallows."
Ella sneezed loudly, startling the others. Lily handed her a tissue, "Bless you! Looks like we're in the same boat." Max groaned, "I feel like a truck hit me. Why now?"
Ella nodded, "I think we've got a cold. Maybe we should call someone for advice." The friends agreed, deciding that help was needed to navigate their sniffly situation.
Dr. Jenkins, the local doctor known for his eccentricity, entered the cabin, bringing with him a gust of frosty air. His attire was a mismatch of colors, and his bespectacled eyes twinkled with humor.
"Ah, a case of the winter sniffles, I presume?" Dr. Jenkins said with a chuckle. Lily, Max, and Ella were both amused and relieved by his presence. "Let's talk symptoms, my dear patients. Runny noses, sneezing, perhaps a slight fever?" He asked, examining them with a playful seriousness.
Dr. Jenkins continued, "Prevention, my friends, starts with handwashing. It's simple but powerful. And keep yourselves warm, especially those toes!" He demonstrated with exaggerated motions, drawing laughter. Ella grinned, "So, no snow angels then?"
Dr. Jenkins shook his head, "Not unless you want to be colder than a snowman's nose!" The trio laughed, feeling more at ease with their colds and the knowledge they gained.
Lily sighed contentedly, "I'm glad we called Dr. Jenkins." Max nodded, "Agreed. We may be sniffly, but at least we're in good spirits."
Ella added, "And we're armed with knowledge for the future." The friends shared a warm glance, feeling comforted by each other's presence and the cozy atmosphere of the cabin.
Lily, Max, and Ella packed their bags, feeling much better. The cold had been an unexpected guest, but the trip was memorable nonetheless.
"Next time, let's bring extra socks and gloves," Max suggested, adjusting his scarf. "And maybe a warmer cabin," Lily added with a laugh.
As they stepped outside, the snow crunching beneath their boots, Ella breathed in deeply, "Goodbye, sniffles. Until next time, winter wonderland!"
