Katherine, her pigtails dyed in vibrant hues of red and blue, strutted along the crowded street, her Harley Quinn costume drawing amused glances. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she hummed a tune, feeling the energy of the city pulse through her. Suddenly, her gaze caught a glimmer from a dusty, old lamp nestled beside a trash can.
"Well, aren't you a peculiar little thing?" Katherine mused, bending down to pick it up. As her fingers brushed its surface, a swirl of smoke erupted, and from it emerged a genie, her form taking on an unexpected shape—a pregnant girl with an ethereal glow.
"Whoa, okay, didn't see that coming!" Katherine exclaimed, stepping back in surprise.
"Greetings, mortal," the genie said, her voice soft yet commanding. "You have one wish. Choose wisely."
Katherine, eyes wide with excitement, didn't hesitate. "I wish for a lot of money!"
The genie nodded, her hands weaving patterns in the air. A sudden warmth spread through Katherine's belly, and she watched in bewilderment as it began to grow, rounding outwards as if filling with something unseen.
"This is not what I meant!" Katherine muttered to herself, trying to keep her balance. Her mind raced as she considered her predicament. Spotting a familiar silhouette in the distance, she called out, "Wonder Woman! I need your help!"
Wonder Woman turned, her eyes widening at the sight of her friend's distended belly. "Katherine, what in Hera's name happened?" she asked, her voice a mix of concern and disbelief.
"A genie! I wished for money, and now I'm about to burst with it!" Katherine explained.
"We need a plan, and fast!" Wonder Woman declared, her mind racing.
Katherine snapped her fingers, an idea forming. "Maybe if the genie gets rich, too, it'll balance out!"
Summoning the genie again, Katherine wished for the genie's prosperity. As the wish took effect, the genie's own belly began to swell, mirroring Katherine's predicament.
"Oh no, what have I done?" Katherine exclaimed, watching the genie float with an amused expression.
Wonder Woman shook her head with a wry smile. "Perhaps I should wish for strength to handle this madness," she joked, only to find her belly joining the chorus of expansion.
"Well, this is a fine mess," Katherine chuckled, holding her side as she doubled over with laughter.
"I guess we learned a lesson about being careful what we wish for," Katherine mused, shaking her head.
Wonder Woman nodded, "True wealth isn't about money or power, but the joy and laughter we share."
The genie, now resting with them, nodded in agreement, her glow dimming as the magic returned to the lamp. With a final wave, she disappeared, leaving only the memory of their unusual adventure.
Katherine and Wonder Woman exchanged a knowing look, their laughter echoing through the quiet morning as they embraced the true meaning of their newfound riches.
