Zayne stood by his car, a mischievous grin playing on his lips as he glanced around the nearly empty parking lot. He held a small, neatly wrapped box in his hands, its red ribbon fluttering slightly in the breeze. "Let's see who the lucky finder will be," he muttered to himself, placing the box conspicuously on the ground near the entrance.
Margaret paused, her curiosity piqued by the unexpected sight. She adjusted her glasses, the sunlight catching the corners of the frames, and shuffled over to the box. "Well, what do we have here?" she murmured, bending down to pick it up.
Margaret gasped, her hand recoiling instinctively. The shock on her face was quickly replaced by a look of disgust as she realized what she had touched. "Oh, for heaven's sake!" she exclaimed, waving her hand in the air, as if trying to rid herself of the smell.
Zayne couldn't help but chuckle as he observed the scene from across the parking lot. "I didn't think anyone would actually open it," he whispered to himself, slightly guilty but still entertained by the spectacle.
Margaret scanned the area, her eyes narrowing as they landed on Zayne. With a sigh, she shook her head, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Kids these days," she muttered, deciding to let the incident go with a wave of her hand.
Zayne leaned against his car, watching as Margaret disappeared into the distance. The sky was painted with hues of orange and pink, a serene backdrop to the day's mischief. "Maybe next time, I'll leave something nicer," he thought, a plan already forming in his mind for another day.
