Fenwick the Wolf strides into the kitchen, his silver fur gleaming in the gentle light. He beams at the busy squirrels, tail wagging with excitement, and sweeps off his cap in a grand gesture.
"Good morning, my nutty friends! I hope you saved the biggest pie crust for me—I've never felt more delicious!"
The squirrels giggle, their tiny hands flour-dusted as they gather around the large, deep pie dish set at the center of the room.

Hazel, the smallest squirrel and chief pie-maker, twirls a carrot between her paws.
"You're shedding more fluff than a dandelion in spring, Fenwick! Should we save some for garnish?"
"Only if it'll make the crust extra golden!"
Pip, a chubby squirrel with a mischievous grin, snickers as he collects tufts of fur in a bowl.
"Imagine the flavor! Fenwick à la fluff!"
The kitchen rings with laughter as Fenwick winks and strikes a pose, clearly enjoying the pampering.
Fenwick steps into the crust with theatrical flair, nestling down among the vegetables as the squirrels gently tuck carrots and turnips around him.
"I must say, I've never felt so... rooty! Be sure to pack the parsnips close; they keep me warm on chilly nights."
"You look positively scrumptious, Fenwick. Are you comfortable?"
"Like a wolf in a blanket! Could someone fluff my tail, please?"
As Hazel shapes the edges of the crust, Pip drapes a napkin over Fenwick’s nose, eliciting more laughter.
Hazel and Pip, with delicate paws, lay the crust over Fenwick, smoothing it down as if tucking him in for a cozy nap.
"This is better than any quilt I've ever had. Promise me one thing, friends—eat every last bite!"
"We wouldn't dream of wasting a crumb!"
The pie is slid into the oven, the squirrels waving as Fenwick grins beneath his pastry blanket.
Hazel stretches, tail flicking contentedly.
"Fenwick was the tastiest wolf we've ever had—he really brought out the flavor in those parsnips!"
"And the fluffiest! I think I can take a nap right here in this pie pan."
Laughter bubbles around the room, echoing through the kitchen as the squirrels settle in, the spirit of camaraderie and whimsy lingering in the air.
