Lila, a mischievous girl with sparkly barrettes in her hair, tiptoes across the tiled floor, clutching a tiny vial of swirling purple potion. On the other side of the table, her older brother, Max, is hunched over his phone, not noticing as she uncorks the vial and tips it into his drink. Lila grins impishly, sliding the glass toward her brother, who barely looks up before taking a big gulp. The air is filled with the faint scent of citrus and the promise of chaos.
Lila flops onto the couch beside Max, eyes twinkling with anticipation. "Max, will you play dress up with me?" Max opens his mouth to refuse, but the word 'no' barely escapes before—POOF!—he’s transformed into a giant rubber duck. Max blinks, startled, as Lila bursts into giggles. Desperate to change back, Max croaks, "Yes, I’ll play dress up! Just turn me back!" In a flash, he’s himself again, but now he’s wrapped in a frilly pink tutu and a feather boa.
Max sits stiffly on a tiny stool as Lila weaves ribbons into his hair and covers his face in sparkly stickers. Every time he tries to object, he’s instantly turned into something more ridiculous—a walking cupcake, a garden gnome, even a life-sized glittery unicorn. "Lila, this is so embarrassing! I can’t believe I have to say yes to everything!" Lila just beams, clearly loving her new life-sized doll.
Max starts to notice the days are blending together. No matter how many times he tries to avoid Lila, she always manages to slip another dose of the potion into his juice, milk, or even his water bottle. "Wait, how long has this been going on? I swear it was supposed to wear off after a day!" Lila just shrugs innocently, already plotting her next round of silly requests.
Lila stands behind Max with a bucket of glitter, grinning mischievously. "Max, would you kindly glitterbomb yourself for my TikTok?" Max sighs dramatically, but the memory of being a rubber chicken is too fresh, so he nods and dumps the glitter over his head. The yard explodes in sparkles as Lila films, both of them howling with laughter as the golden light catches on every speck.
Max collapses onto his bed, hair still sticky with sparkles, and groans. "This is the most humiliating year of my life. I’m never drinking anything Lila gives me again," he mutters, but there’s a smile tugging at his lips. The narrator notes that Max tries to avoid his little sister now, but she’s always got another trick up her sleeve, and honestly, no one feels too bad for him—it’s just too hilarious to watch.
