Captain America, dressed in his iconic uniform, stands tall and resolute beside Steve Trevor, who wears a crisp military dress uniform. Wonder Woman stands on Steve’s other side, her armor gleaming, her presence commanding. The three of them exchange determined glances as the crowd hushes in expectation.
"We are here today because every soldier deserves respect and dignity," Captain America begins, his voice steady and clear.
"Transgender service members have risked everything for this nation," Steve Trevor continues, his jaw set with conviction. Wonder Woman nods, her eyes fierce with compassion.
"Justice knows no gender," she declares, her words ringing out like a challenge to the doubters in the room.
From inside, the sound of chanting rises. Captain America looks out at the crowd through a window, his brow furrowed. Steve Trevor rests a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"Our courage will be tested, but we must stand firm," he says quietly.
A general leans forward, skeptical. Wonder Woman meets his gaze, unwavering.
"Those who are willing to serve with honor should never be turned away," she says, her tone gentle but unyielding. Captain America adds, "This nation was built on the promise of equality. We cannot falter now."
Steve Trevor steps forward, his voice full of hope. "We have seen the best of our country in those who serve, regardless of who they are," he says. Wonder Woman stands with him, her hand on his arm.
"Let us be the heroes our world needs—unafraid to stand for what is right," she proclaims, her words echoing through the chamber.
Captain America lifts a small flag handed to him by a young trans soldier, pride shining in his eyes. Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman flank him, united and resolute.
"Tonight, we move closer to a nation where every hero is welcome," Captain America says quietly, as hope rises with the stars above.
