Oksana leaned forward, her brows furrowed in concentration as she began to write. "Dear Ethan, today, the sky was the color of ripe apricots, and the air smelled of earth and wildflowers. I wish you could see it. How is your summer going? Did you get to visit the beach like you wanted?"
Ethan read Oksana's letter with a smile. "Dear Oksana, the beach was amazing! The water was so blue, and I even learned to surf a little. I wish you could have been there to see the waves. Have you ever seen the ocean?"
Oksana sighed deeply before continuing her letter. "Ethan, I wish I could visit the ocean someday. But here, things are different. We have to be careful where we step. There are places with hidden dangers, and the grown-ups call them mines. They say these are leftovers from the past. It’s scary, but I try to be brave."
[@ch_2]Ethan[/@ch_2_d]"Oksana, I'm sorry to hear about the mines. It sounds so frightening. I can't imagine how brave you must be. Please, promise me you'll be safe. I wish I could do something to help. Maybe one day, you can visit, and we can explore the beach together."[/@ch_2_d]
[@ch_1]Oksana[/@ch_1_d]"Ethan, your letters make me feel less alone. One day, I will visit, and we will laugh and play by the sea. Until then, I'll keep writing and dreaming of the waves."[/@ch_1_d]
The two friends continued to exchange letters, each one a beacon of light in their respective worlds. Despite the challenges, their words bridged the gap between continents, proving that friendship knows no boundaries.
