Loki sat in the doctor's office, his fingers drumming lightly on the armrest of the plastic chair. The rhythmic ticking of the clock did little to soothe his restless mind. As he scanned the room, his eyes fell upon a young girl with striking green eyes and unruly dark hair—features that mirrored his own.
The little girl's mother, Elena, sat beside her, flipping through a magazine, unaware of the world around her. Loki couldn't shake the feeling that he knew this child from somewhere, a whisper of familiarity tugging at the edges of his consciousness.
"Excuse me," he ventured, leaning slightly forward.
"Yes?" Elena replied, looking up with a polite, albeit slightly distracted, smile.
"Your daughter... she looks so familiar," Loki remarked, glancing at the little girl, Cora, who was busy coloring in a book.
Elena followed his gaze, a soft laugh escaping her lips. "Cora has that effect on people. She seems to remind everyone of someone they know," she explained, a hint of pride in her voice.
Loki nodded, though his thoughts were elsewhere. Memories unspooled in his mind—fragments of a past he had tried to forget. A life of mischief and magic, of stories untold and paths not taken. The resemblance was uncanny, almost as if destiny had woven their lives together in some intricate pattern.
Loki shifted in his seat, a sense of longing filling his heart. "Perhaps she's reminding me of myself," he mumbled, almost to himself. The words hung in the air, carrying a weight only Loki understood.
Loki stood up as his name was called, casting one last glance at Cora. Elena nodded at him, a friendly acknowledgment, and Loki offered a small smile in return. As he walked towards the doctor's office, Loki felt a strange sense of peace. Perhaps the universe was trying to tell him something, a gentle nudge towards a future he hadn't considered. Whatever it was, he felt ready to face it. cora looked at her mom and she saw that she was in tears then Cora heard Loki say I'msorry Cora that Icant be a father to you cora and her mother went home
