Sam, a quiet and thoughtful boy, clutched his books tightly as he navigated the crowded corridor. He felt a strange sense of anticipation mixed with nervousness, a feeling he couldn't quite place. As he turned the corner, he bumped into someone, sending his books sprawling.
Liam, his twin brother, looked equally bewildered. "Did I just see myself?" he muttered, eyes wide with disbelief. Sam could only nod, speechless as he took in the mirror image before him.
"Who are you?" Sam finally managed to ask, his voice a mix of curiosity and trepidation. "I... I'm Liam," Liam replied, equally unsure. "And you look just like me!"
Sam and Liam sat across from each other, each trying to find the right words. "I was adopted," Liam started, his voice barely above a whisper. "Me too," Sam responded, the pieces of their shared puzzle slowly falling into place.
"I can't believe we both ended up at the same school," Liam exclaimed, a smile breaking through his initial shock. "It's like fate," Sam agreed, feeling an unexpected warmth in his heart.
Sam and Liam walked side by side, their hearts lighter with the knowledge that they were no longer alone in the world. "Let's meet again tomorrow," Sam suggested, hope shining in his eyes. "Absolutely," Liam replied, knowing this was just the start of their incredible journey together.
