Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) stands tall yet subdued beside Kara Danvers (Supergirl), both dressed in dark ceremonial attire. Between them is Athena Danvers (Zealot), her eyes wide with awe and sorrow as she gazes up at the statue of the uncle she never met.
"It’s strange," she whispers softly, her voice carrying a mixture of reverence and regret. "I’ve heard so many stories about him, but standing here, it feels like I’m meeting him for the first time."
Kara Danvers squeezes Diana’s hand, her face stricken by grief and pride. "He always believed Metropolis could be better—kinder. Every time I see these people come together, I feel his hope living on in all of us," she says, her voice trembling but resolute.
Diana offers a gentle smile, brushing a stray lock of hair behind Kara’s ear. "And you carry his legacy, Kara. Every day. Together, we make sure his sacrifice wasn’t in vain."
Athena glances up, tears brimming in her eyes. "In the future, they teach us that Superman was the heart of the League. The stories you told me, Mom… they gave me hope when things got dark," she says, her gaze shifting between Diana and Kara.
"He would have loved you, Athena. He believed in second chances, in the strength of family," Kara replies, her voice cracking as she wraps both Diana and Athena in a tight embrace.
Diana kneels to place a golden laurel at the statue’s feet. "Clark taught me that compassion is the world’s greatest strength. Even in death, he inspires us to be better," she murmurs, her fingers lingering on the cold stone.
Athena, watching her mothers, finds her voice steady and clear. "Someday, I hope I can be a hero like him. Like you," she says, her words carrying both a promise and a yearning for connection.
Kara gazes at the city, her cape fluttering softly. "We keep telling his story, Athena, because stories are how legends live on. Even when we’re gone, the world will remember what he stood for," she says, her words drifting like a prayer on the night air.
Diana draws her family close, her eyes shining with unshed tears. "And as long as we remember, there is always hope," she whispers, their silhouettes framed against the everlasting symbol of the man they loved and lost.
