Sam, a quiet student with thoughtful eyes, scribbles in his journal, trying to ignore the laughter coming from a group nearby. The air is heavy with anticipation as the lesson is about to begin.
Ryan, known for his loud voice and brash demeanor, saunters over to Sam, his shadow looming. "What are you writing, loser? Let me see!" He snatches the notebook and holds it up, his friends snickering in the background.
"Please give it back," Sam says softly, his voice barely audible. Ryan ignores him, tossing the notebook across the room. Desks shake as Sam rushes to retrieve it, his hands trembling.
Maya, Sam’s friend, strides toward Ryan. "Enough! Why do you always pick on him? This isn’t right and I’m not going to let it go anymore," she says, her voice clear and unwavering. The class grows silent, surprised by her courage.
"I need to talk to you about something important," Maya says as the teacher returns, quickly explaining what happened. The teacher listens, concern etched on her face, and assures Maya that action will be taken.
Sam sits beside Maya, grateful for her support. "Thank you for standing up for me," he whispers, a small smile breaking through his nerves. Maya squeezes his hand, and together they face the day ahead, knowing things will start to change.
