Lorelai Gilmore hurried down the sidewalk, her hair bouncing with each step. "Rory, we're going to be late!" Rory Gilmore jogged to catch up, her backpack swinging behind her. "I'm coming, I'm coming!"
Rory sat in the front row, her hand shooting up at every question. Paris Geller, her academic rival, shot her a steely glance. "Harvard's not for the faint of heart, Rory," she whispered.
Lorelai shifted uncomfortably in her seat, glancing at Emily Gilmore, her mother. "So, Rory, how is Chilton treating you?" Rory smiled politely, "It's challenging, but I'm learning a lot."
Luke Danes poured another cup of coffee for Lorelai, a smirk playing on his lips. "You know, caffeine's not a food group," he teased. "Blasphemy!" Lorelai replied, feigning shock as Rory laughed beside her.
Lorelai and Rory helped decorate, laughter mingling with the sounds of hammers and music. "I love this time of year," Rory said, her eyes sparkling.
Lorelai and Rory stood side by side, watching the townspeople enjoy the festivities. "No matter what happens, we'll always have Stars Hollow," Lorelai said softly. "And each other," Rory added, wrapping an arm around her mother's shoulders.
