Ella, the older sister, sat at the wooden table, her arms crossed, while Lily, the younger, was leaning against the counter, her eyes narrowed.
"You always take my things without asking, Lily," Ella exclaimed, frustration evident in her voice.
"Maybe if you shared more, I wouldn't have to," Lily shot back, a smirk playing on her lips.
Ella glanced at Lily, her expression softening. "I guess I can be a bit possessive sometimes," she admitted quietly.
"And I can be a little reckless," Lily replied, her tone much gentler.
Ella handed Lily a cup of tea, their earlier argument forgotten. "Remember the time we built that treehouse?" she reminisced, a smile tugging at her lips.
"And it collapsed because we used branches instead of nails," Lily laughed, shaking her head.
Ella turned her head towards Lily. "No matter how much we fight, you're still my sister and my best friend," she said softly.
"Same here, Ella. I wouldn't trade you for anything," Lily replied, reaching out to squeeze her hand.
Ella sighed contentedly. "Let's promise to work on our differences," she suggested, her voice filled with hope.
"Agreed. After all, we make a pretty good team," Lily replied, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
Ella stirred, blinking against the morning light. "Morning, sleepyhead," she murmured to Lily, who yawned and stretched beside her.
"Morning, sis. Ready for another day of adventures?" Lily grinned, their bond stronger than ever.
