Lila looks at the sheep and thinks, "Watching sheep is so dull! I want to have some fun!"
"What if I pretend there’s a big, scary wolf?" Lila giggles and runs toward the village, shouting, "Help! Help! There’s a wolf!"
The villagers rush to help, but when they arrive, they find Lila laughing!
Old Man Harris says, "Lila, that’s not nice. If you keep tricking us, we might not believe you when it’s really important!" Lila just laughs, not understanding.
This time, when Lila shouts, fewer villagers come because they don’t believe her.
Lila screams, "Help! Help! A wolf is here for the sheep!" But the villagers don’t come because they think she is joking again. The wolf scares the sheep away, and Lila feels very sad.
Lila says, "I’m sorry! I promise to always tell the truth from now on!" The villagers smile and forgive her.
Then, Lila goes back to her sheep, ready to take care of them for real.
