Lena sat huddled in the corner, her knees drawn to her chest as she tried to make sense of the sudden turn her life had taken. The news of her abusers' deaths had come as a shock, leaving her with a mix of emotions she couldn't quite untangle. She felt a strange sense of relief, but also an overwhelming emptiness.
A tall figure appeared in the doorway, his silhouette framed by the light. "Lena, it's time we talked," he said gently, stepping into the room. Marco, her oldest brother, had a presence that was both commanding and comforting. Lena looked up, confusion etched on her face.
Six more men stood around the room, each with a look of fierce protectiveness. Luca, Dante, Enzo, Matteo, Rocco, and Nico, her brothers, were a revelation she had never imagined. "We've always been watching over you," Luca explained, his eyes soft with affection. Lena felt a warmth spread through her chest, a feeling of belonging she had never known.
"But why now? Why tell me now?" Lena asked, her voice tinged with both curiosity and frustration. Marco moved closer, his expression serious. "Because you're free now, Lena. Free from them, and free to be with us," he replied, his tone firm yet reassuring.
Lena looked around at her brothers, feeling the weight of their love and protection. "I never thought I'd have a family like this," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. Dante, the most lighthearted of the group, chuckled softly. "Well, you got us now, whether you like it or not," he teased, breaking the tension.
Lena walked through the garden, her heart lighter than it had ever been. Her brothers were nearby, their laughter and playful banter filling the air. For the first time in her life, she felt truly safe and loved. She knew the path ahead wouldn't be easy, but she also knew she wouldn't have to face it alone. Together, they would forge a new future, one filled with hope and possibility.
