Lily adjusted her glasses, her cheeks flushed with excitement. Miley leaned back against her pillow, her long hair splayed out like a fan. "This swap is going to be a breeze," she declared confidently, waving a hand dismissively. "I'm ready to see some changes," Lily replied, determination shining in her eyes.
Lily flexed her arms, noting the definition in her muscles. Miley, however, frowned at the snug fit of her jeans. "I never thought I'd gain this much," she admitted, a touch of disbelief in her voice. "It happens quicker than you'd think," Lily said sympathetically, reaching for a protein bar.
Lily caught Miley's eye in the mirror and offered an encouraging smile. "I thought I'd be the one breezing through this," Miley lamented, wiping sweat from her brow. "You've got this, you just need to find your rhythm," Lily encouraged, adjusting her grip on the barbell.
"He says he loves me no matter what," Miley said, a note of surprise in her voice. Lily nodded, sitting cross-legged on her bed. "It's about what makes you happy, Miley," she replied gently, understanding the complexities of self-image and acceptance.
Lily's step is lighter, her newfound strength evident in her stride. Miley walks beside her, more relaxed than she has been in weeks. "Maybe it's not about the numbers," Miley mused, looking at the vibrant leaves falling around them. "Exactly," Lily agreed, feeling the warmth of friendship and self-discovery envelop them both.
"We've both changed in ways we didn't expect," Lily reflected, a smile playing on her lips. "And that's okay," Miley replied, nodding in agreement. The roommates shared a look of understanding, knowing that their journey had only just begun, but feeling ready to embrace whatever came next.
