Ethan walked home from his friend's house, the cool evening air brushing against his skin. He felt a shiver run down his spine as he heard rustling behind him. Before he could react, a hand clamped over his mouth, and the world went dark.
Lila sat across from Ethan, her eyes twinkling with a mix of mischief and determination. Ethan struggled against the ropes binding his wrists, his heart pounding in his chest. "Don't worry," she smiled, reaching for a soft pink dress, "you're going to look beautiful."
Ethan sat still as Lila slipped the dress over his head, the fabric cool and unfamiliar against his skin. She hummed softly while painting his nails a delicate shade of pink. Despite himself, Ethan found a strange sense of calm washing over him.
Ethan gazed at his reflection, hardly recognizing the person staring back. His cheeks were dusted with blush, his eyes lined with precision. "See? You're stunning," Lila said, her voice soft yet triumphant. Ethan couldn't help but smile, a newfound confidence blooming within him.
Ethan giggled as Lila held up a sequined gown, his earlier fear melting away. "Let's try this one next," Lila suggested, her enthusiasm infectious. Ethan nodded eagerly, anticipation bubbling in his chest.
Ethan stood by the window, the sun's rays warming his face. Lila joined him, her hand resting on his shoulder. "Thank you," he whispered, realizing that maybe, just maybe, he had found something he didn't know he was searching for.
