Jackson, a 28-year-old soldier with a muscular build and short hair, was on his solitary patrol. The silence was soothing until he noticed something unusual—a fiery object streaking across the sky. It crashed beyond a distant hill, casting a brief, bright glow against the dark horizon.
"What in the world..." he muttered, curiosity piqued as he set off towards the crash site.
Jackson approached cautiously. Amidst the wreckage lay a large, crimson coat, untouched by the fire. He glanced around, but the only sound was the crackling of the sleigh.
"Must be a prank..." he mused, yet something compelled him to try on the coat. The moment he slipped it over his shoulders, warmth enveloped him, warding off the night chill.
As Jackson slept, dreams of festive cheer filled his mind. He awoke to find candy wrappers scattered across his bed, remnants of a midnight snack he barely recalled. Rising, he noticed his reflection—his once chiseled stomach now protruded slightly, and a beard had begun to sprout on his chin.
"This can't be right," he muttered, reaching for a razor, but the beard stubbornly reappeared each time he shaved.
Jackson found himself indulging more than usual, his appetite insatiable. His uniform felt snug, the fabric stretching over his expanding frame. Despite his efforts, the weight training seemed only to enhance his transformation.
"What’s happening to me?" he wondered aloud, noticing his widening girth and the silver strands now threading through his hair.
Jackson returned to his barracks, the Santa coat catching his eye once more. As he donned the full Santa suit, a strange sense of belonging overcame him. In the mirror, his reflection had completed the transformation—he was the spitting image of Santa Claus.
Reindeers pawed at the snow, their bells jingling with a familiar melody. Elves bustled about, preparing for the upcoming season. Jackson realized his purpose now, a new chapter unfolding as he embraced his role as the new Santa Claus.
"Looks like my duty has taken a magical turn," he chuckled, ready to spread joy across the world.
