Sha wandered through the lonely halls of her high school, her footsteps echoing off the lockers. Her eyes, a deep well of solitude, scanned the faces around her, finding nothing but indifference. Everyone seemed absorbed in their own worlds, leaving Sha to navigate hers alone.
Sha slipped into the attic of her old house, a space filled with memories and whispers of the past. A soft beam of sunlight broke through the dusty window, illuminating a small cot where her imaginary friend, Luna, sat waiting. "I knew you'd come," Luna smiled, her presence a comforting balm to Sha's loneliness.
Sha lay beside Luna, gazing at the stars scattered like diamonds across the night sky. "Someday, we'll be among them," Luna whispered, her voice a gentle melody. "Forever, right?" Sha asked, a hint of hope in her voice. "Forever," Luna replied, though her eyes held a sadness the stars could not dispel.
Sha sat in class, her mind drifting away as the teacher's voice droned on. The world outside seemed colorless, unlike the vibrant universe she shared with Luna. But as the days passed, she felt the weight of reality pressing against the edges of her imaginary sanctuary.
Sha returned to the attic, a heaviness in her heart. Luna was waiting, the same gentle smile on her face. "It's time, isn't it?" Luna said softly. Sha nodded, tears brimming in her eyes. "I don't want to lose you," she whispered. "You'll never lose me, Sha. I'm a part of you," Luna assured her.
Sha stepped out of the attic, the rain kissing her cheeks as she looked up at the sky. A rainbow arched across the horizon, a symbol of hope and new beginnings. Though she felt the ache of loss, Sha knew she carried Luna's spirit with her, ready to embrace the world and all its possibilities.
