Priyanka stood in the center of the garden, adjusting the ribbons on the chairs, her face aglow with excitement. Sushank, her husband, was nearby, carefully hanging a banner that read "Welcome Baby!" in cheerful letters. Family and friends began to gather, their laughter mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves.
"Everything looks perfect, doesn’t it?" Priyanka asked, her eyes scanning the vibrant scene.
"It does, love," Sushank replied with a smile, setting down a tray of freshly baked cookies. "I’m glad everyone could make it."
Aditi, Priyanka's best friend, approached with a mischievous grin. "Priyanka, you have to open my gift first," she declared, handing over a beautifully wrapped box.
"I can't wait to see what you've come up with this time," Priyanka laughed, knowing Aditi's penchant for quirky, heartfelt gifts.
Meanwhile, Sushank was deep in conversation with his brother, Rohan, who had just flown in from abroad. "I wouldn’t have missed this for the world," Rohan said, clapping Sushank on the back.
Meera, a family friend, organized a guessing game about the baby, prompting giggles and shouts of encouragement. "Whoever guesses the baby's weight and date of birth gets a special prize," she announced, holding up a small gift bag.
Sushank joined in, his competitive spirit shining through. "I bet I know my own baby best," he joked, earning a playful nudge from Priyanka.
Priyanka noticed Raj's distant demeanor and approached him with concern. "Raj, is everything okay?" she asked gently.
Raj hesitated before speaking, his voice barely above a whisper. "Just some personal issues, but I didn’t want to miss this day," he admitted, forcing a smile.
"If you need anything, I’m here," Priyanka said reassuringly, giving his arm a supportive squeeze.
Sushank raised his glass, his voice filled with gratitude. "To family, friends, and the new adventures that await us," he proclaimed, his eyes meeting Priyanka's with warmth and love.
Priyanka joined in, her heart full. "And to the little one who will soon join this amazing circle," she added, her voice brimming with emotion.
Aditi hugged Priyanka tightly. "This was magical, Priyanka. I’m so happy for you both," she said, promising to visit soon.
