The children are excited as they walk through the big gate of the park. They can see the playground in the distance and hear the laughter of other kids. The grass is soft and green under their feet, and butterflies flutter from flower to flower.
One of the children points up and says, "Look! There is a squirrel in the tree. It is eating a nut!" The others watch quietly, trying not to scare the little animal. The sunlight makes the squirrel’s fur shine, and its tiny paws hold the nut tightly.
Some children run to the swings, pushing each other higher and higher. Others climb up the ladder to the slide, laughing as they race down. One group plays tag, chasing each other around the playground. A cool breeze makes the swings move gently when nobody is sitting on them.
"I have an apple. Does anyone want some?" asks one child, holding out a bright red apple. The friends enjoy their snacks, smiling and talking about their favorite games. Bees buzz quietly nearby, attracted by the sweet fruit.
The children walk carefully to the pond, watching the ducks paddling and dipping their heads. "The baby ducks are so cute! Look at them following their mother," whispers one child. Ripples spread across the water as the ducks move, and dragonflies zoom just above the surface.
It is time to go home, but everyone feels happy after their fun day. "Let’s come back to the park soon!" says one child, waving goodbye to their friends. The park grows quiet as the children leave, and the first stars appear in the evening sky.
