Miss Kira stood at the front of the room, her braided hair bouncing with enthusiasm as she clapped her hands to capture the students' attention. "Welcome, my wonderful learners, to the alphabet adventure!" she announced, her voice as lively as a reggae beat.
"A is amazing, just like apple pie!" Miss Kira sang, swaying to a rhythm only she could hear. "Look here, my bright stars, this is a capital A and a small a," she pointed to the bold letters on the card. "A is for Apple," she continued, holding up a colorful illustration of a shiny red apple. "The apple is delicious!" she added, making a munching sound that made the children giggle. "Listen closely! The A says /ah/ like in apple!"
"B is brilliant, like a bright banana bunch!" Miss Kira declared, her wide smile lighting up the room. "Here is a capital B and a small b," she pointed out. "B is for Banana," she continued, showing a cheerful picture of a banana. "The banana is yellow," she described, making a peeling motion with her hands. "Listen closely! The B says /buh/ like in banana!"
"C is cool, like a creamy cupcake!" Miss Kira chimed merrily. "Observe the capital C and the small c," she explained. "C is for Cat," she said, revealing an illustration of a fluffy cat. "The cat is soft," she noted, mimicking a cat purr. "Listen closely! The C says /kuh/ like in cat!"
"You’ve learned so much today, my little champions!" Miss Kira cheered, clapping her hands. "Remember to use these letters in your everyday conversations. Big up, you’re doing great!" she encouraged, her Jamaican spirit shining through.
