Lila adjusted her backpack as she walked alongside Sam and Ava. They were best friends since kindergarten, and today they were on a mission. "I can't wait to start our club," Lila said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Yeah, it's going to be awesome teaching everyone about kindness," Sam replied. Ava, always the thoughtful one, nodded in agreement. "We'll make sure everyone knows how hurtful bullying can be," she added.
The three friends gathered around a table, spreading out their materials. "Let's start by making some posters," Lila suggested, pulling out markers and paper. Sam sketched a rough outline of their club's logo—a smiling sun surrounded by hearts. "This will remind everyone that a little kindness can light up someone's day," he said. Ava began writing slogans, her handwriting neat and precise. "How about 'Stand Up, Speak Out, Be Kind'?" she proposed, receiving nods of approval from her friends.
As they hung up their posters, Lila heard a familiar, unsettling sound. Sam pointed towards a group gathered around a younger student, Ava's eyes narrowing in concern. "It's Tyler," Lila whispered. Sam stepped forward bravely. "We have to do something," he said, determination in his voice. The three friends approached the group, ready to stand up for what was right.
Ava spoke up, her voice calm but firm. "Bullying isn't okay. We should all treat each other with respect," she said, addressing the group. Lila nodded in agreement. "Our new club is about kindness and understanding. Let's try to be better," she added. Slowly, the group dispersed, leaving Tyler with a shy smile of gratitude. The friends knew they had made a difference.
Sam grinned as he looked at his friends. "We did good today," he said. Lila high-fived him, her face glowing with pride. "This is just the beginning," she replied. Ava closed her notebook, satisfied. "Together, we can make our school a kinder place," she said, her words a promise of what was to come. The Kindness Club was just getting started.
