Ayaan and Lina sit close together, their eyes tracing the winding paths of raindrops as they race down the glass. The world outside looks misty and magical, the garden blurred by the rainfall.
"It’s raining again! I wonder where all this rain comes from."
"Yeah… do you think the clouds just decide to rain?"
A fat raindrop splashes against the window, drawing their attention.
"Maybe that raindrop has a story to tell!"
Ayaan's voice floats over the scene as the camera zooms in on a single droplet nestled among the waves. The sun rises higher, its rays warming the water until thin wisps of vapor begin to lift into the sky. The droplet dances upwards, leaving the lake behind.
"Before it was rain, that raindrop was resting in a lake."
"Then the sun warmed it up!"
Narration: “When the sun heats water, it turns into water vapour and rises into the air. This is called evaporation.”
The droplet joins a bustling crowd of other droplets, all clinging together to become a part of the growing cloud. The friends watch as the vapor transforms, swirling and thickening in the sky.
"Look! The raindrop is joining other droplets in the clouds."
"They’re sticking together because the air is cooler."
Narration: “This cooling and cloud-forming process is called condensation.”
The cloud can no longer hold its watery treasure, and the droplets fall in a joyful cascade, drumming on the world below. The sound is soothing, yet full of energy, as puddles begin to form on the ground.
"Uh-oh! The cloud looks too heavy."
"Here comes the rain!"
Narration: “When clouds become full of water, the droplets fall as rain. This is called precipitation.”
The raindrop reunites with others, collecting in streams and lakes, and disappearing beneath leafy canopies where animals drink and play. Flowers bloom brighter, and the cycle continues all around.
"The raindrop is back on the ground!"
"It’s collecting in rivers and helping plants grow."
Narration: “Water gathers in rivers, lakes, oceans, and the soil. This stage is called collection.”
The colors arc above the rooftops, a promise of new adventures for every raindrop. The sun’s warmth returns, starting the cycle anew.
"So the raindrop didn’t disappear. It just went on a journey!"
"Yep! The water cycle keeps going again and again."
Narration: “Evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. The water cycle never stops.”
Text on Screen: 🌍 Water is always on an adventure!
Both Together: "That’s the water cycle!"
