Alex, a tall, enthusiastic TMNT fan sporting a Donatello hoodie, waves a comic issue in the air. His friend, Jamie, wearing a bright Raphael t-shirt and a skeptical expression, leans forward with arms crossed. The air is filled with the scent of old paper and popcorn, and the muted sounds of city traffic filter through the glass.
"I’m telling you, the Mighty Mutanimals are totally villains! Look at what they did in volume four—they were ruthless!"
"No way! They’re misunderstood heroes. They fight for mutant rights, not evil. You just don’t get it because you only read the mainstream storylines."
Alex slams his fist on the table, rattling a stack of comics. Jamie grabs a Mutanimals figurine and points it accusingly.
"You always twist the facts! The Mutanimals saved the city from the Null Corporation. That’s not evil, that’s heroism!"
"But they go too far! They don’t care about collateral damage. That’s what makes them dangerous."
Gwenpool, unpredictable and meta-aware, grins at the arguing teens. She pulls up a chair and slides into their conversation, comic panels practically swirling around her.
"Whoa, whoa, slow down! You’re both right, and both wrong. The Mutanimals are complex, just like every superhero team. Sometimes they make mistakes, sometimes they save the day. Isn’t that what makes them interesting?"
Alex picks up a Mutanimals comic, flipping through the pages. Jamie relaxes, letting go of the figurine.
"I guess I never really thought about their motives. Maybe I was too quick to judge."
"Yeah, and maybe I ignore the bad stuff because I want to believe they’re always good. Superheroes aren’t perfect."
"That’s what makes fandom fun. We get to argue, but in the end, it’s all about the stories. How about we read this issue together and talk it out?"
Alex and Jamie nod, passing the comic between them as Gwenpool opens a fresh bag of popcorn. The bookstore settles into a peaceful hush, united by their passion for heroes and villains alike.
As the trio reads together, their voices grow softer, blending into the background. Outside, the city pulses with energy, but within the store, time seems to pause as they lose themselves in the world of mutants and heroes. The posters, figurines, and comics stand as silent witnesses to another chapter in the endless debate of good versus evil.
