Tsuyu Asui stands under her umbrella, her emerald hair sticking to her cheeks in the humid air. Nearby, Izuku Midoriya limps across the wet pavement, favoring his injured leg from yesterday's training. Raindrops patter onto his backpack, and he winces as he tries to hurry.
"Midoriya, you shouldn't push yourself when you're hurt," she calls, her voice calm but firm.
Izuku hesitates, glancing at his ankle and then at Tsuyu, who stands steady as ever. He blushes, embarrassed by his predicament.
"It's just a little sprain, Asui. I can manage, really…"
"Ribbit. I can carry you. It’s no trouble at all," she assures him, extending her arms with a gentle smile.
Izuku hesitates before climbing onto her back, careful not to slip. His cheeks burn red, but he clings to her shoulders as she stands upright.
"Hold on tight, Midoriya," she says, unfazed by the extra weight.
Izuku relaxes as he realizes how effortlessly Tsuyu moves, her frog-like agility making the task seem simple.
"Thank you, Asui. You always know how to help,"
"That’s what friends are for, ribbit," she replies, her voice warm.
Tsuyu gently lowers Izuku to his feet, careful not to jostle his injury. He grins sheepishly, grateful for her support.
"I owe you one, Tsuyu,"
"Just take care of yourself next time, okay?" she says, nudging him playfully.
Izuku looks at Tsuyu with gratitude in his eyes.
"I’m really lucky to have you as a friend, Asui,"
"Ribbit. I’m lucky too, Midoriya," she replies, her smile as bright as the lights within.
