Dora and Boots were walking along the forest path, smiling as birds chirped overhead and leaves rustled softly in the warm breeze. Then Dora froze, because a big bear stepped out from behind a tree, and nearby a witch in a dark cloak, an alien with glowing eyes, a crocodile with snapping jaws, and a floating ghost all appeared at once. "Boots, look, that bear and that witch and that alien and that crocodile and that ghost are all here, and they are scaring me so much that we have to run right now!" "I am scared too, Dora, and I do not want to stay here even one more second, so let us run for our lives and yell as loud as we can!"
Dora and Boots ran as fast as they could, screaming and yelling for their lives while their feet pounded the dirt trail. Behind them, the bear growled, the witch waved her arms, the alien glimmered strangely, the crocodile stomped forward, and the ghost floated after them with a spooky moan. "Help, help, we are being chased, and we need to find someone who can help us before these scary creatures get any closer!" "Keep running, Dora, because I can see a place ahead, and maybe Geo Umizoomi will know exactly what to do!"
Geo Umizoomi saw Dora and Boots hurrying toward him, out of breath and trembling from fear. Dora quickly told him what had happened, explaining that a bear, a witch, an alien, a crocodile, and a ghost had scared them badly and chased them through the woods. "Geo, we got so scared that we ran for our lives screaming and yelling, and all those scary creatures are still nearby, so please help us think of a way to scare them away!" "Do not worry, Dora and Boots, because I remember something important from Dora's pirate adventure, and I think that memory can help us save the day!"
Geo Umizoomi remembered the scary whale from Dora's pirate adventure, the whale that had once frightened Dora and her friends with a huge splash and a booming cry. Then all three of them remembered something else too: the bear, the witch, the alien, the crocodile, and the ghost were scared by scary whales. "If those creatures are afraid of scary whales, then we can act like scary whales together, make big whale sounds, and send them running away from us!" "That is a great idea, Geo, and I can already imagine us being the scariest whales ever, with loud calls and giant splashing moves!"
Dora, Boots, and Geo Umizoomi took a deep breath and began acting like scary whales, swaying, calling out, and making huge dramatic motions near the water. Their whale sounds rolled across the clearing so loudly and strangely that the bear stumbled backward, the witch gasped, the alien shook, the crocodile turned around, and the ghost wobbled in the air. "Woooooo! We are scary whales, and we are bigger and louder than all of you, so you had better run away right now!" "That is right, because scary whales are here, and if you are frightened of scary whales, then this is your chance to leave this place at once!"
The bear, the witch, the alien, the crocodile, and the ghost all got scared by the scary whales and ran for their lives, screaming as they disappeared far away from the clearing. Dora clapped happily, Boots jumped up and down, and Geo Umizoomi grinned proudly because their plan had worked perfectly. "Yay, we did it, and now those scary creatures are gone!" "Yay, that was amazing, and I am so glad we remembered the scary whales!" "Yay, teamwork and a smart idea helped us save the day!"
Later, Dora went home and told her mom everything that had happened in the forest and at the clearing by the stream. She explained how she and Boots had been scared by a bear, a witch, an alien, a crocodile, and a ghost, and how Geo Umizoomi helped them remember that those creatures were afraid of scary whales. "Mom, it was so frightening at first, but then Geo helped us be brave, and we scared them away by acting like scary whales just like the one from my pirate adventure!" The safe, warm house felt extra cozy after such a wild day, and Dora smiled because the adventure had ended with courage, teamwork, and a happy yay.
