Dora and Boots were walking happily through the forest when the ground began to shake beneath their feet. Above the treetops, several dragons swooped down with wide wings, flashing scales, and fiery eyes that made the sky seem darker. "Boots, look! Dragons! We have to run, and we have to be careful because they look really big and really scary!"
Boots clutched Dora’s hand as the dragons let out booming growls that echoed across the hills. Leaves swirled around them, and birds flew out of the trees in a rush as the two friends turned and ran down the path. "I do not want those dragons to catch us, Dora! Let’s go find Geo and Umizoomi because maybe they can help us think of something smart and super brave!"

Geo was clever and calm, always ready to build a plan, while Umizoomi was quick-thinking and brave, with a big imagination for solving problems. Dora and Boots rushed into the clearing, breathing hard and pointing back toward the forest where smoke curled above the trees. "Geo, Umizoomi, dragons chased us through the forest, and they were so loud and scary that we had to run as fast as we could!"
Geo looked toward the distant shadows and nodded with determination instead of fear. Umizoomi tapped a foot thoughtfully, then smiled as if a bright idea had just lit up in the air. "If the dragons are scaring everyone, then we need to scare them away instead, and we can do it with the spookiest, strangest, and wildest things we can find!"
Geo helped build giant Frankenstein figures from boxes, green paint, bolts, and ragged coats, making them tall enough to loom over the path. Umizoomi added glowing eyes, rattling chains, and spooky decorations that clinked and flashed whenever the wind blew. "We will use Frankensteins, scary things, and even some animals to make the dragons think this is the most frightening place they have ever seen!"
Dora and Boots joined in by gathering bats made of paper, fluttery dark capes, and masks with silly monster faces. Soon friendly animals from the forest arrived too, including owls with wide glowing eyes, howling wolves on a distant ridge, and hissing geese that sounded surprisingly fierce. "This is spooky, but it is also kind of amazing, and if we all work together, those dragons will be the ones running away this time!"
The dragons came charging back with smoke puffing from their noses, expecting to frighten everyone again. Instead, they saw giant Frankenstein figures rising in the moonlight, strange shadows dancing across the grass, and glowing eyes blinking from every direction. "Stay strong, everyone, because this is our chance to show the dragons that they cannot scare us anymore!"
Suddenly the wolves howled, the owls screeched, the geese flapped wildly, and the chains on the Frankenstein figures rattled with a sharp metallic clatter. Geo triggered the spooky lights, and Umizoomi made the monster shapes move in the fog so they looked even bigger and stranger. "Look at them now, they are backing up already, because even dragons can get scared when the night is full of Frankensteins, scary things, and mysterious animals!"
The dragons trembled, stumbled over one another, and let out frightened yelps instead of mighty roars. They flapped their wings in a wild hurry and raced away from the meadow, disappearing over the hills as fast as they could. "They are running for their lives, Dora! The dragons are scared of the Frankensteins and all the spooky things and animals!"
Dora jumped up and clapped her hands while Geo and Umizoomi laughed with relief. The forest grew peaceful again, and the moon shone softly over the meadow now that the danger had passed. "Yay! We did it! We worked together, we were brave, and now the dragons have run far away!"
Dora hurried inside, still excited from the adventure, while Boots bounced beside her with a huge smile. Dora’s mom listened closely as they told the whole story from beginning to end, from the frightening chase to the spooky plan that saved the day. "Mom, dragons scared us in the forest, so Boots and I ran to Geo and Umizoomi, and they helped us use Frankensteins and more scary things and animals to scare the dragons away!"
Dora’s mom smiled proudly, imagining the moonlit meadow, the rattling chains, and the dragons fleeing into the night. She hugged Dora and told her that courage grows strongest when friends help one another. "I am so proud of all of you, because even when you were afraid, you stayed brave, worked together, and turned a scary moment into a wonderful victory."
