Alex, a teenager wearing a vintage Bob the Builder T-shirt, waves a DVD box passionately.
Jamie, with a cap turned backward and arms folded, shakes their head in disagreement.
"I'm telling you, the new Bob the Builder series completely misses the heart of the original! Look at this—Scoopy doesn't even sound the same, and what happened to Wendy's character?"
"Come on, Alex! The new animation is crisp, and the stories have more action. Kids these days love it, and it's not like they erased the old episodes."
Alex slams the DVD box down, frustration growing.
"But it's not just about action! The spirit of teamwork feels forced now, and the voices are all wrong. It’s like they don’t even care about the fans who grew up with Bob!"
"You’re stuck in nostalgia mode! Give the new team a chance. Maybe it’s different, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Times change, Alex."
Gwenpool[/@ch_3], comic book hero and fourth-wall breaker, literally steps out of a comic page taped to the wall. She lands between the beanbags, grinning.]
Gwenpool (Gwen Poole, mediator, unpredictable and meta, wearing her iconic costume and a friendly smile.)
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Are we really going to let a disagreement over Bob the Builder ruin a perfectly good friendship and this awesome merch collection? Mind if I cut in?"
"Gwenpool? How did you—Never mind. We just can’t agree. It’s impossible."
"Impossible is my middle name! Well, actually, it’s not, but you get my point. Let’s try something wild—why don’t we each share what we love about Bob the Builder, old or new?"
Alex[/@ch_1], Jamie, and Gwenpool sitting in a loose triangle, toys scattered around.]
Alex considers, picking up a worn-out Scoop plushie.
"I guess what I love most is how the original made me believe anyone can build something great if they work together. It made my childhood bright."
"And I like how the new series introduces bigger challenges and cool machines. It gets me excited for what’s possible, you know?"
"See? Both have value! Old-school feels and new-school thrills. You can love both or just one, and that’s totally okay."
Gwenpool[/@ch_3] juggles a plushie, a helmet, and a comic book.]
"How about a Bob the Builder marathon—old and new? Popcorn, opinions, and maybe a little less yelling?"
"I’m in. But I get to pick the first episode!"
"Deal! And Gwenpool, you have to do the voices."
"I was born ready! Let’s build some memories, team."
The sounds of Bob the Builder—both old and new—fill the air. The debate is over, but the friendship is stronger than ever.
