Amakuse Shino, the student council president, stands near the water, her gaze fixed on the horizon. Tsuda Takatoshi, the vice president, approaches with a playful grin. Suzu Hagimura, the petite genius, is busy building an intricate sandcastle nearby. The council's faculty advisor, having indulged in one too many drinks, snores contentedly under a beach umbrella.
"Looks like we're stuck here for the night," Shino announces, trying to sound nonchalant. "The last bus has left, and our advisor is out of commission." A mix of surprise and amusement washes over the group, though Suzu seems more concerned about missing her favorite TV show.
Shino arranges the rooms, ensuring everyone is comfortable. Tsuda and Suzu share a room, while Shino takes one for herself. The night is filled with whispered conversations and the occasional burst of laughter, the kind that only comes from shared secrets and camaraderie.
Igarashi Kaede, head of the Student Disciplinary Committee, waits in the council room, a stern expression on her face. Shino enters, her usual confidence slightly tempered by the anticipation of the upcoming conversation.
"I have photographic evidence of your overnight stay," Kaede states, her voice firm. "I understand," Shino replies, her mind racing. She quickly concocts a story, feigning responsibility for their predicament. "I didn't think it would come to this," Kaede admits, her resolve wavering.
"I need a day," Shino pleads, her eyes meeting Kaede's with earnest determination. "Very well, but only one day," Kaede concedes, the hint of a smile playing on her lips. Shino nods, relief washing over her as she plans her next move to protect her friends.
