Tom strolled down the street, his mood as bright as the day. The grocery store stood ahead, its welcoming aura drawing him in. "Time to restock the pantry," he thought, a smile playing on his lips.
Inside, Tom picked up a loaf of bread, its crust golden and promising softness within. The price tag read Rs. 15. He moved on, selecting a carton of milk, its cool surface reassuring in his hand. "Rs. 25, not bad," he mused. Lastly, he grabbed a packet of biscuits, the thought of a sweet treat bringing a twinkle to his eyes. "Rs. 20 for a little indulgence," he chuckled.
Tom approached the counter, placing his items before the cashier. The cashier greeted him with a nod, scanning each item with practiced ease. As the scanner beeped, Tom watched the total sum begin to form on the register. "Let's see if my math was right," he grinned.
Tom handed over Rs. 60, a smile of accomplishment on his face. "Perfect, not a rupee over," he said, pleased with his budgeting. The cashier returned his smile, handing him the receipt. "Have a great day!" the cashier offered warmly.
As Tom made his way home, he felt a sense of satisfaction, not just from the groceries he carried, but from the simple, fulfilling routine of the day. "Home awaits," he whispered to himself, ready to enjoy a quiet evening.
