Benji stood by his window, watching the snowflakes dance in the moonlight. His heart raced with excitement as he thought about the Christmas Eve ahead. The cozy village seemed magical, with each home glowing like a beacon of warmth beneath the towering pine trees.
The kitchen was alive with the scent of cinnamon, as Mom and Grandma baked cookies. Dad and Grandpa were busy with the Christmas tree, their laughter mingling with Lily's sweet carols. "Benji, come help us with the tree!"
The tree stood proudly, adorned with twinkling lights and colorful ornaments, but something was missing. "The star is missing!" "Oh no! Where could it be?" Benji suggested they search together, and the family began their hunt with determination.
Benji climbed into the attic, his eyes scanning the dusty corners. There, amidst forgotten holiday decorations, lay the missing star, its golden surface gleaming. "I found it!" he exclaimed, his voice echoing through the quiet space.
Dad lifted Benji up high, allowing him to place the star atop the tree. As it settled into place, the room was bathed in a magical glow. "Now, it’s perfect," Lily declared, clapping her hands in delight.
As the family settled by the fire, sipping hot cocoa, Grandpa began to share tales of Christmases long ago. Benji listened intently, feeling the warmth of his family surrounding him. The clock struck midnight, and they stepped outside, the village blanketed in snow. Together, they shouted, "Merry Christmas!", their voices filling the silent night.
