Nick waits nervously, straightening his shirt and glancing at his phone. The flicker of candlelight shimmers in his eyes as Rose arrives, her smile bright and curious. She sits down, her gaze lingering on Nick's restless hands and wide-eyed innocence.
"It's nice to finally meet you in person, Nick. You seem...excited,"
"I am! I've never been on a date like this before. Do you like cats? I love cats," he blurts out, his youthful energy almost childlike.
Rose[/@ch_2]'s car, sleek and silver, waits at the curb, inviting and mysterious.]
Rose unlocks the door and gestures for Nick to join her. The interior smells faintly of lavender and leather, the dashboard aglow with digital lights.
"How about we grab a drink somewhere quieter? I know a place,"
"Sure! That sounds fun," Nick chirps, bouncing into the passenger seat with a grin.
Rose leads Nick inside, her movements graceful but watchful. Her sister, Claire, emerges from the kitchen, her presence warm and welcoming.
"Claire, this is Nick. Nick, my sister Claire,"
"Welcome, Nick. Make yourself comfortable," Claire says, exchanging a knowing glance with Rose.
Rose hands the glass to Nick, who sips eagerly. A sudden, dizzying sensation overtakes him; the room seems to spin and shrink.
"Whoa...what's in this?" he manages, his voice already smaller, softer—until it becomes nothing more than a baby's babble.
Nick[/@ch_1] rapidly regresses, his clothes ballooning comically around his shrinking body. Rose lifts the now-infant Nick from his oversized shirt, her expression gentle but resolute.]
Rose wraps a soft blanket around Nick, expertly fastening a diaper around his tiny form. She cradles him in her arms and settles on the sofa, her demeanor shifting into that of a nurturing mother.
Rose[/@ch_2] nurses the infant Nick, his tiny hands curling around her finger. Claire sits nearby, watching with a soft, knowing smile.]
"I told him I'd give him a special drink," Rose says, her voice laced with gentle amusement.
"He seems happy with your promise," Claire replies, laughter in her eyes as the women share a quiet moment, watching Nick peacefully nurse, content in his new—and unexpected—world.
