Sebastian Worthington sat at his mahogany desk, pen poised over a leather-bound diary. His eyes scanned the room, taking in the luxurious surroundings before he began to write.
"Dear Diary, another day in the life of a Worthington. Father says we're going to the Hamptons this weekend. It's supposed to be a family bonding trip, but we all know it's just another networking opportunity for him."
Mrs. Worthington glanced up from her tablet, her voice laced with gentle reprimand. "Sebastian, darling, do remember to pack your formal wear for the weekend. There will be important guests."
"Yes, Mother. I just hope there will be some time for fun," Sebastian replied, a hint of longing in his voice.
"Why does everything have to be about business?" Sebastian muttered to himself. James, the family butler, approached quietly, his expression understanding.
"Master Sebastian, sometimes the most valuable lessons aren’t learned in the boardroom but in the quiet moments in between," James offered, his eyes kind.
"Dear Diary, perhaps James is right. I need to find those moments of peace and make them my own. Maybe this weekend won't be so bad after all." Sebastian closed the diary with a sense of resolve.
"What are you thinking about, Seb?" Lila asked, looking up with curiosity.
"Just that I'm going to make the most of this trip," Sebastian replied with a smile, feeling more optimistic than he had in a long time.
