Nick and Tim wandered aimlessly, their clothes slightly torn from the brambles. The path seemed endless, each tree looking the same as the last.
"I can't believe we took the wrong turn," Nick sighed, glancing at Tim who was trying to stay optimistic.
Tim pointed excitedly. "Look! Over there. Maybe someone can help us," he said, his voice a mixture of hope and relief.
Nick nodded, and they quickened their pace toward the light, their hearts pounding with anticipation.
A young woman, Lila, stepped out onto the porch. Her presence was calming, her smile warm and welcoming. "Hello, travelers. You seem lost," she said kindly.
Nick and Tim exchanged glances, feeling an inexplicable trust in her. "Yes, we are. Can you help us find our way back?" Nick asked.
Lila brewed a fragrant tea, her movements graceful and serene. "Drink this. It will help you feel better," she offered, handing them each a cup.
As they sipped the tea, a drowsiness enveloped them, their eyes growing heavy. "I feel... strange," Tim murmured, his voice trailing off.
Nick and Tim awoke, feeling lighter and different. They looked at each other, realizing they had been transformed into infants, cared for by Lila.
Lila cradled them lovingly, humming a soft lullaby. "You are safe here with me, my little ones," she whispered, her touch gentle and nurturing.
Though initially bewildered, Nick and Tim felt a deep sense of peace and belonging, embraced by Lila's care.
Lila watched over them with a tender smile, her heart full of love. "This is your new beginning," she said softly, knowing that they would grow to cherish this enchanted life.
