Tohru, the dragon girl, stands in front of a row of laundry, her tail swishing as she gazes at Kobayashi's clothes. She leans in, her forked tongue flicking out as she begins to lick a shirt, determined to leave it spotless. The room is bright and warm, with plants on the windowsill and a stack of folded laundry on the table. Outside, birds chirp, and the world feels gentle and safe.
Kanna, a small dragon with silvery hair, watches with curiosity and mild concern as Tohru continues her unusual cleaning method. The room is filled with the soft sound of Tohru's licking, punctuated by the rustle of fabric. Kanna tilts her head, her voice soft but firm.
"Tohru, why are you licking the laundry? Isn't that a little strange, even for you?"
Tohru wipes her mouth and considers Kanna's question, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. She glances at Kobayashi's favorite cardigan and then at the hallway where Kobayashi is still sleeping. Tohru's mind wanders as a mischievous idea sparks.
"Well, Kanna, I just want to make sure everything Kobayashi owns is perfectly clean. And if Kobayashi ever gets dirty... maybe I should help clean her too!"
Kanna shakes her head, her voice calm but earnest. She gently tugs at Tohru's sleeve, trying to dissuade her from her plan. Sunlight glints off their scales, creating a mosaic of colors on the walls.
"Tohru, that's not how humans clean each other. Kobayashi would probably be really embarrassed. Maybe you should just stick to washing clothes the normal way."
Tohru puts down the last shirt and looks at Kanna with gratitude, realizing the importance of boundaries. She glances at the washing machine in the corner, finally understanding its true purpose. The two dragons share a quiet moment, basking in the morning light.
"You're right, Kanna. Maybe I'll just make breakfast for Kobayashi instead. That way, I can show her I care without making her uncomfortable."
Kobayashi, still in her pajamas, looks at the neatly folded laundry and the delicious meal on the table. She gives Tohru and Kanna a warm smile, oblivious to the morning's unusual events. The apartment glows with a sense of family and togetherness, as laughter and the clatter of breakfast dishes fill the air.
"Good morning, everyone. Thank you for taking care of everything. I'm lucky to have you both."
