Princess Ellie sits at her window, watching the torrents batter the stained glass. The echoes of her recent rejection of Roy, the witch’s son, replay in her mind like a warning. Thunder rumbles as she drifts into restless sleep, unaware of the cloaked figure—Sarah, Roy’s mother—slipping silently through forbidden corridors, her hands crackling with dark energy.
Ellie jolts awake, chained to the wall, her head throbbing. Shadows flicker as Sarah and Roy step into the cell, their faces twisted with anger and betrayal. "You could have had everything, Ellie. But you chose to humiliate me," he sneers, as Sarah circles her, the threat of cruel magic lingering in her eyes.

"You will learn obedience, Princess, one way or another," Sarah hisses, passing the jar to Roy. He approaches, hatred burning in his eyes, and despite Ellie's desperate struggle, the slug is forced onto her forehead. It slithers into her mouth, and as the henchmen release her, her body convulses, scales erupting from her skin, her scream morphing into a guttural roar. Fire bursts from her throat as she becomes a dragon, her humanity consumed by the dark magic.

Under their cruel commands, Ellie, now a beast, lays waste to distant villages, her flames turning night into terror. In the chaos, King Aldrin sends his bravest knights to slay the dragon, not realizing it is his own daughter. Their efforts are thwarted by Sarah's illusions; the dome becomes both her prison and the witches’ tool of vengeance.

Tara, Ellie’s ten-year-old sister, stumbles upon the wounded dragon while gathering herbs. Without fear, she approaches, her small hands gentle as she removes the arrow and binds the wound with leaves. Ellie awakens, her monstrous jaws opening in a roar, but Tara only grins, letting out a playful mimicry. The dragon pauses, confused, a flicker of recognition glinting in her golden eyes.
Alfonzo[/@ch_6], an eighteen-year-old knight with hope in his heart, sneaks into the ruined dungeon. Torn clothes and scorch marks hint at horror and loss.]
His pulse quickens as he finds Ellie's belongings. Alfonzo whispers a vow to save her, not knowing that Ellie loved him as dearly as he loved her. In a sudden shimmer of magic, Roy appears, his bitterness boiling over. "You were never worthy of her," he spits. "My love is true, Roy. I will save Ellie, no matter what," Alfonzo replies, just before darkness engulfs him.

Sarah and Roy look down from a balcony, their laughter echoing. Ellie lunges at Alfonzo, fire and claws slashing through the dust. Alfonzo dodges with desperate agility, calling out to her, "Ellie, I know you’re still in there—fight it, please!"
Ellie[/@ch_1] seizes Alfonzo in her talons, ready to drop him as commanded. The sky is streaked with fire and smoke.]
As he dangles, Alfonzo clings to her, pleading, "Don’t let them win, Ellie! You’re stronger than their magic—remember who you are!" He scrambles up her scaly body, tugging at her belly until the dragon heaves and vomits the vile slug. As the enchanted slime evaporates, Ellie collapses, her form shrinking back into her human self.
Alfonzo scoops up the unconscious Ellie, shielding her with his cloak. Dodging debris, he sprints through the inferno, escaping as the doors slam shut behind the doomed Sarah and Roy, whose own spells seal their fate within the burning ruins.
Ellie awakens, weak but safe, and finds herself in the arms of her parents and little sister. "Thank you, Tara. You saved me when no one else could," she whispers, tears shining in her eyes. Alfonzo is honored by the king, and joy returns to the castle as old wounds begin to heal.

Tara races through the halls, excitement shining in her eyes. "I’m going to be the best aunt ever!" she declares, making everyone laugh. Ellie and Alfonzo share a quiet moment, watching the sunlight dance on the gardens, thankful that love and hope have conquered darkness at last.
