Jake[/@ch_1] sits hunched over his laptop, lost in a world of code and comic books.]
Jake taps away, barely noticing the message pop up from Nick and Dylan. It's an invitation – not something he's used to. He reads it twice, a smile growing on his face, feeling a rare spark of hope.
"They want me to come over? This is awesome."
He types out a quick, eager reply, never suspecting the reason behind the invitation.
Nick[/@ch_2]'s living room. Game controllers litter the carpet, and energy drink cans crowd the coffee table. The mood is boisterous as Jake arrives, clutching a backpack, trying not to look too nervous.]
Nick greets him with a half-smile, while Dylan lounges on the couch, smirking. Jake launches into a conversation about his favorite TV show, his enthusiasm filling the room. Nick listens, half-interested, while Dylan rolls his eyes.
"I just love how the characters develop. Did you see last week's episode?"
"Yeah, I guess. It's okay..."
The tension in the room is palpable, humor edged with something sharper.
Dylan[/@ch_3] sits up, grinning mischievously. Nick groans, but curiosity lingers in his eyes.]
"I bet I can hypnotize you," he says, waving the spiral before Jake and Nick.
"Not this bull," Nick protests, but Jake seems intrigued.
"You can't hypnotize me," Jake laughs, glancing nervously at Nick, who tells him to drop it.
"Just watch the spiral. You feel very relaxed, your eyes are getting heavy. When I count to three, you'll be asleep," Dylan intones, voice slow and deliberate.
Jake[/@ch_1] and Nick stare, faces slackening as the countdown begins. Dylan watches, scarcely believing his luck.]
"Three... two... one," he whispers, snapping his fingers. Both Jake and Nick close their eyes, their heads nodding.
"When I snap my fingers, you'll be under my control," Dylan says, snapping again.
They respond in unison, a strange, almost magical obedience filling the air.
Dylan[/@ch_3] tests the limits, telling both boys to strip down to their underwear. Without protest, Jake stands in his briefs, Nick in boxers, the vulnerability in the moment thick and raw.]
"Jake, do you wet the bed?" Dylan asks, curiosity tinged with empathy.
"Yes," Jake replies, voice soft.
Dylan glances away, feeling a flicker of connection. For a moment, the joke feels less like ridicule and more like revelation.
"Why do you wear briefs?"
"I like to wear them," Jake answers, honest and unashamed.
Nick[/@ch_2] and Dylan talk quietly, the atmosphere changed. Game night is planned, and Jake is at the center. All three boys gather, awkward laughter giving way to genuine smiles.]
"Hey nerd, do you want to be friends?" Nick calls out as Jake walks in, backpack slung over his shoulder.
"Yes," Jake replies, smiling wider than ever.
The room is filled with the promise of new beginnings, where oddness and vulnerability are threads that bind, not divide.
