Elsa stood in the center of the room, her hands gently resting on her very pregnant belly. She glanced around, taking in the festive decorations. Despite the beauty surrounding her, she felt a flutter of anxiety mixed with excitement.
Anna, carrying a box of ornaments, entered the room with a cheerful hum. "The castle looks magical, doesn't it?" she said, placing a delicate glass angel atop the towering tree.
"It does," replied Elsa, her voice soft. "It's hard to believe everything's ready. I just hope I'm prepared for what's next."
Elsa sank into a plush armchair, her thoughts swirling like the snowflakes outside. Her mind was a tapestry of hopes and fears, each thread woven with an uncertainty about motherhood.
"You've faced so much, Elsa," Anna said, settling into the chair opposite her sister. "Becoming a mother is just another adventure, and you'll be amazing at it."
"I want to be the kind of mother our own was," Elsa confessed, her eyes glistening. "Brave, loving, and always there."
"You know, this reminds me of the first snow we had as kids," Anna reminisced, a smile playing on her lips. "We built the biggest snowman in the kingdom!"
"And you insisted on giving it a carrot nose," Elsa laughed, feeling the heaviness in her heart lighten.
"It was a masterpiece," Anna declared with a playful twinkle in her eye. "Just like everything you do will be, Elsa. Especially this little one."
Elsa felt a calmness wash over her, as if the castle itself was whispering reassurances. She took a deep breath, ready to face the dawn of motherhood with courage.
"Thank you, Anna," she said, her voice filled with gratitude. "For being here, always."
"Where else would I be?" Anna replied, wrapping an arm around her sister. "We're in this together, now and forever."
Elsa watched the horizon, her heart full. She knew the journey ahead was unknown, but with her sister by her side, she felt ready to embrace it.
"Merry Christmas, Anna," she whispered, the words carrying a promise of hope and love.
"Merry Christmas, Elsa," Anna replied, knowing that this Christmas was the start of something truly extraordinary.
