Goliath, the giant champion, brandishes his spear and shouts with pride. "Why do you come out to line up for battle? Choose a man to fight me! If he is able to kill me, we will be your servants; but if I overcome him, you will serve us!" The Israelites shrink back, fear spreading through their ranks as Goliath’s challenge echoes through the valley.

David[/@ch_3] stands before King Saul, his posture steady and his gaze unwavering.]
"You are just a boy. How can you fight a warrior like him?" David replies, "I have fought lions and bears to protect my sheep. The Lord who delivered me then will deliver me now." David[/@ch_3] walks into the valley. The earth is dry, dust swirling around his feet, while Goliath advances, sneering, shield raised.]
"Am I a dog that you come at me with sticks?" David stands firm and declares, "You come against me with sword and spear, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty!"
