One evening, as the sun dipped below the hills, Daniel sat by the fire with Grandpa Eli. The sky was painted in warm shades of orange and pink, and the crackling flames cast dancing shadows on the ground.“Grandpa,” Daniel said, “last night, I had a strange dream. I saw fire falling from the sky, but it didn’t burn anything. It just filled people with light and joy. What do you think it means?”Grandpa Eli’s eyes twinkled. “Ah, my boy, that sounds just like something written in the Bible! It reminds me of what the prophet Joel said long ago.
Grandpa Eli leaned forward. “Many years before Jesus came, God spoke through the prophet Joel. He promised, ‘In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.’”Daniel’s mouth dropped open. “That’s just like my dream! ”Grandpa Eli nodded. “Yes! And do you know what happened many years later, after Jesus returned to heaven? ”Daniel shook his head, eager to hear more.
Grandpa Eli continued. “One day, Jesus’ followers were gathered together in a house. Suddenly, a mighty wind rushed in, and tongues of fire appeared above their heads. But just like in your dream, the fire didn’t burn them. Instead, they were filled with the Holy Spirit!”Daniel’s eyes widened. “What happened next? ”They began to speak in different languages,” Grandpa Eli said. “People from many nations could suddenly understand them. Peter stood up and told everyone that this was the promise from Joel coming true! The Holy Spirit had come to be with God’s people forever.”Daniel gasped. “So that means the Holy Spirit is still with us today?” “Yes!” Grandpa Eli said. “When we believe in Jesus, God fills us with His Spirit. He helps us, comforts us, and gives us the power to share His love with the world.
Daniel thought for a moment. “So, the Holy Spirit isn’t just fire from the sky. He’s a helper inside of us?”Grandpa Eli smiled. “Exactly. The Holy Spirit gives us courage when we’re afraid, wisdom when we’re confused, and strength when we feel weak. He reminds us of God’s love and helps us live in a way that pleases Him.”Daniel grinned. “That means I don’t have to do anything alone!” “Not at all,” Grandpa Eli said. “The Spirit is with you always, guiding you.
Daniel stood up excitedly. “I want to tell everyone about this! Just like Peter did! ”Grandpa Eli chuckled. “That’s a wonderful idea, my boy. The fire of the Holy Spirit isn’t meant to stay inside of us—it spreads when we share God’s love. ”Daniel looked up at the night sky,
