"Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control," she recites, letting each child hold a fruit as she names it.
"Can anyone share a time they showed kindness or patience this week?"
A small boy shyly raises his hand. "I helped my sister find her teddy bear when she was sad," he offers. Christa nods approvingly, her eyes sparkling.
"That’s a wonderful example of kindness. When we choose these fruits every day, we're growing more like Jesus," she encourages.

"Let’s ask God to help us grow these fruits in our hearts," she suggests. The children bow their heads, their small hands folded, as she prays for them to be loving, joyful, and patient in all they do.
Christa gives each child a sticker shaped like a fruit as they leave. "Remember, every day is a new chance to grow the fruits of the Spirit," she calls out. The children wave goodbye, their hearts full of hope and new understanding.
