In the stillness of his room, Elijah shot up straight, his heart racing from the vivid dreams that jolted him awake in the night. He sat up, the images still clear in his mind—events and faces he had never seen, yet felt intimately connected to. "Why are these visions being entrusted to me?" he whispered to the empty room, his voice tinged with both awe and uncertainty.
Elijah found solace in the chapel, his usual refuge for contemplation. Kneeling before the altar, he sought answers in the silence. "Is this a gift or too much pizza?" he pondered, his thoughts echoing in the sacred space. He felt an overwhelming urge to dedicate his life to understanding these visions, to seek purity and truth through prayer and fasting.
One day as Elijah walked through the market, he was drawn to a woman selling herbs. Her eyes met his, and in an instant, he knew her story—her struggles, her joys. "You carry a heavy heart, your struggles are identical to that of your paternal grandmother" he spoke softly, surprising them both with his insight. She nodded, tears brimming, and he offered her words of comfort and a song, a song of deliverance to break the family curse. Hope and freedom arose in her again, but feelings producing a deep sense of purpose coursed through him.
Sitting on a weathered bench, Elijah watched as the world around him gently settled into night. He marveled at the strange yet profound connection he felt to those around him, a sense of knowing that transcended words. "Perhaps this is my call" he mused, embracing the idea of living a life devoted to reconcilliation, restoration, truth and holiness.
Elijah sat at his desk, surrounded by ancient texts and scriptures. He felt the weight of his decision, yet also a lightness, as if a burden had been lifted. "Jesus' yoke is easy and His burden is light," he resolved, penning the words that would guide his journey. He knew the path ahead was uncertain, he would be misunderstood and possibly lonely, but he was ready to embrace whatever it may bring.
In the tranquility of the garden, Elijah found peace. He stood among the flowers, feeling the Divine mysteries unfold within him. "I am but a vessel," he acknowledged, accepting his role in the grand tapestry of life. With each breath, he felt closer to "the way, the truth and the life," ready to surrender his life and walk to God, and share his visions and wisdom with the world, when the season was right...
