St. Mark, the Evangelist, was born in Cyrene, North Africa. His parents, Aristopolus and Mary, were wealthy and honorable Jewish people who raised him with both Greek and Hebrew education. Young Mark sitting with his parents, studying scripture.
One Day, while traveling with his father near the Jordan River, they were threatened by two wild lions. Mark prayed, saying, “O Christ, Son of God, protect us.” The lions fell dead, and his father was moved to believe in Christ.
Mark baptized his father, Aristopolus, making him one of the first believers in Christ in their family.
"We must be relentless, reaching out to those who have never heard His name," urged Paul. Mark nodded, passion igniting in him. "Our journey is just beginning," Barnabas added, a smile of determination gracing his lips.
"We bring you the message of hope and salvation," Mark began, his voice carrying over the waves. The faces before him were a tapestry of anticipation and skepticism, yet as he spoke, many hearts softened and opened.
He was filled with gratitude for the path laid before him, and the lives touched through his words. "May the light of Christ continue to guide and protect us all," he prayed, knowing the mission would continue beyond him, carried forward by countless voices yet to come.
