The earth was filled with wickedness, and every thought of humanity was only evil continually. The Creator gazed upon His creation with sorrow, lamenting the rampant corruption. Amidst this darkness, one man stood as a beacon of righteousness: Noah. "I have found favor in the eyes of the Lord," he often mused, pondering the path set before him.
Noah was chosen by the Creator to undertake a monumental task. In the stillness of the night, he heard the Lord's voice instructing him to build an ark. "Make yourself an ark of gopher wood," the Lord commanded, detailing the dimensions and purpose of the vessel. Noah listened intently, his heart filled with a mix of awe and determination.
Noah and his sons worked diligently, their hands calloused from the effort of cutting, shaping, and assembling the massive ark. The sound of hammering echoed through the forest as animals watched curiously from a distance. Shem, Ham, and Japheth assisted their father, each driven by faith and the promise of salvation.
The time had come to gather the creatures of the earth, as instructed by the Creator. From the smallest insects to the mightiest beasts, they came in pairs, guided by an unseen hand. "Enter the ark, you and your household," the Lord urged, as Noah oversaw the orderly procession into the sanctuary he had built.
The heavens unleashed their fury, and the fountains of the deep burst forth. For forty days and nights, the deluge continued, sweeping away all that had been corrupted. Within the ark, Noah and his family prayed for deliverance, trusting in the covenant made by the Creator.
As the waters receded, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Noah emerged, gazing upon the transformed landscape. With gratitude and reverence, he built an altar, offering thanks for the preservation of life. The Creator set a rainbow in the sky, a sign of His covenant with humanity, promising never again to destroy the earth by flood.
