The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) walked with a sense of peace and purpose, his presence calming those around him. His attention was drawn to a mysterious voice calling out, "O Prophet of Allah!""Who calls me?" he wondered, turning to face the source, yet finding no one.
The deer, with eyes full of hope and urgency, spoke once more, "O Prophet of Allah!""It is I, the deer before you, captured by hunters. My little ones await my return for nourishment. Please, untie me, and I swear to return."
"What if you choose not to return?" he asked gently, seeking assurance. The deer, unwavering, replied, "May Allah cast me into Hell if I do not return. My word is my bond." The sincerity in the deer's voice moved him, and with compassion, he untied her, allowing her to go.
As an hour slipped by, the Prophet remained hopeful. Suddenly, he saw a familiar figure approaching—the deer, true to her word, had returned. Just as she arrived, the hunters appeared, their eyes widening at the sight.
"O brothers," the Prophet addressed them with kindness, "Might I ask you a favor?" The hunters, eager to oblige, nodded in agreement. "Would you sell me this deer? I wish to purchase her freedom." The hunters, touched by the Prophet's gesture, readily agreed, saying, "For you, O Prophet, anything."
The Prophet turned to the deer, his voice gentle, "You are free now, forever. Return to your home and your little ones." The deer bowed, her heart filled with gratitude, before disappearing into the forest, a testament to the power of honesty and integrity.
