The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) walks peacefully along the street, his presence gentle and dignified, though his figure remains respectfully unseen—a subtle silhouette amid the morning glow. The tranquility is broken by a faint, urgent voice echoing through the silence.
A Curious Deer, tied to a sturdy tree by rough ropes, struggles gently, her eyes wide and pleading.
"O Prophet of Allah!"
He turns and scans the street, yet no person is visible. The voice, soft yet filled with urgency, calls once more.
"O Prophet of Allah!"
He finally notices the source: the deer, gazing at him with hope and desperation.
"The hunters have caught me. My little babies wait for me, hungry and alone. Please, untie me and let me go just this once. I promise, by Allah, I will return after feeding them."
"And what if you do not come back? How do I know your promise is true?"
"If I do not return, then may Allah cast me into Hell! I swear on my sincerity—I will come back."
He unties the ropes, and the deer bounds away, disappearing into the distant brush. Time passes slowly; the sun inches higher, shadows shifting. Yet the Prophet remains, waiting in stillness, firm in his faith.
An hour drifts by, and in the distance, the deer appears again, her steps hurried yet grateful as she returns to the place of her promise.
The Hunters, with bows slung over their shoulders, halt in surprise as they spot the Prophet with the deer.
"O brothers, may I ask you a favor?"
"Of course, O Prophet!"
"Would you sell me this deer? I wish to purchase her freedom."
"Everything is for you, Prophet Muhammad (SAW). She is yours."
"You are free now, forever. Go, and return to your home and your babies."
The deer pauses, her eyes shining with gratitude, before leaping away toward the horizon. The hunters watch, awestruck, as a lesson of honesty and sincerity unfolds before them, the sunlight now brighter than before.
A subtle breeze carries the unspoken message—honesty and sincerity always triumph. The Prophet’s trust and the deer’s integrity have forever changed the meaning of mercy and trust for all who learn this tale.
